SETA stands for the Sector Education and Training Authority. Each sector or industry has its own SETA.
What do SETAs do?
- They make sure each sector/industry has enough people with the required skills. They do this through education and training programmes.
- They apply for accreditation of all qualifications in each sector/industry.
The members of a SETA include employers, trade unions, government departments and bargaining councils where relevant, from each industrial sector.
You will find all the SETA contact details here.
